Lakshmi Mittal Selling Home on Billionaire’s Row




Lakshmi Mittal, the steel tycoon and one of the UK’s wealthiest men, is rumoured to be selling one of his three homes on one of London’s most exclusive streets. The property at 6 Palace Green, also known as “Billionaire’s Row” due to its exclusively Ultra High Net Worth residents, was bought for £117 million complete with its art collection for his son Aditya Mittal and his wife though reports state the married couple may have never lived at the property. The sale was the most expensive in the UK at the time, but has now been overtaken by the sale of the main penthouse at One Hyde Park which reportedly sold in the region of £140 million.

The property was bought in 2008 from Noam Gottesman, one the founding partners and one of “G”s of the highly successful hedge fund group GLG Partners which was acquired by the Man Group in 2o10. Gottesman is also well-known in art collecting circles.
