East London Line Opens Up Southeast

The East London Line has now opened between New Cross/New Cross Gate and Dalston Junction. The new opening will provide much needed public transport connections between East and Southeast London and will be especially helpful in providing convenient access to the future Olympic developments in East London. The greater value, though, will come when the line opens in farther out locations like Crystal Palace and West Croydon. Canada Water Station links the East London Line with the Jubilee Underground Line one stop away from Canary Wharf. Those working in Canary Wharf will soon be able to live farther out in Greater London while still avoiding a commute through busy stations in Westminster and the City.
