Bargain London Property
The Times recently highlighted Brockley, SE4 as a bargain hotspot. Referrin to it as the “Hampstead of the South East”.
Brockely, is hidden within the borough of Lewisham and first attracted the boho set in the 1970s. Today, leafy and laced with quirky bars, and for the price of an indifferent apartment in the real Hampstead, buyers can secure grand, seven-bedroom family homes for as little as £400/sqft compared to Hampstead which is £1000+/sqft.
Brockley is ten minutes by train from London Bridge and a stone’s throw from Dulwich and Greenwich. The East London line should serve Brockley and Honor Oak Park from June, making the area even more convenient for Canada Water, next to Canary Wharf, and Hoxton, near the City (and Olympics events in 2012).
